About Chef Alain...

Alain Guichard has been in a love affair with the culinary arts for the last 40 years.  Born in Paris, he was educated at L’Ecole Hotelliere de Paris and spent many years working in some of the finest Parisian restaurants before emigrating to the U.S.

Landing first in Los Angeles, he worked at Plaza Four and Albions before relocating to the Bay Area.  He was Executive Chef at La Baie and the Plumed Horse before opening two successful restaurants of his own in San Jose, first L’Horizon and then the Bistro Parisien.

Alain received the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs award in 1997 and continues to be passionate about good cuisine and creating a wonderful dining experience.
